The 22nd Malpica de Bergantiños Theatre Festival opens with O proceso, a comedy by Malasombra Produccións that invites us to explore Galicia’s past through the language that gives it a voice. A wonderful chance to experience Galician theatre on the Costa da Morte.
Set against the backdrop of the Rexurdimento, Galicia’s cultural and literary revival, the play reflects on the recognition of Galician as a language of culture, with poet Curros Enríquez as an important reference. Humour makes room for thoughtful questions that still resonate today.
