Baio’s shops have stories to tell. Behind every counter are memories, familiar faces and changes that reveal the life of the town. Negociando con Baio is a documentary created by young participants in a filmmaking workshop led by A Furna Coop. It will be screened on Saturday 24 October 2026 as part of the 6th Premios Fouciño film festival in Baio, Galicia.
Shops are more than places to buy things. They bring neighbours together and hold memories of daily life. Told through the eyes of young filmmakers, Negociando con Baio explores the town’s commercial history and how changes to local businesses reflect Baio’s own evolution.
The film emerged from a documentary workshop run by the cooperative A Furna. Its screening at Premios Fouciño is a chance to discover the stories behind familiar places and see this Costa da Morte town from a new perspective.
Date: Saturday 24 October 2026.
Time: the session starts at 1:00 pm; the documentary’s exact screening time within the session has not been specified.
