In Carballo, Antonio José Cancela Sánchez has created a dedicated space exploring the history of the Michelin Guides, publications that have charted changes in travel, motoring and gastronomy since the early twentieth century. His project, Colección Guías Michelin, brings together information and documentation from different editions of these guides.
Its website lets visitors browse guides by country and region, read articles, statistics and updates, and discover the history of the celebrated Red Guide. It also features sections on historic cafés, museums and tourist routes, including the Costa da Morte.
This collecting and heritage project offers a window into more than a century of changing travel habits and dining culture. To explore the published materials or contact the collector, visit the Colección Guías Michelin website.
