On Saturday, 17 October 2026, from 6:00 pm, Xornes, in the municipality of Ponteceso, celebrates Intangible Cultural Heritage Day with a gathering devoted to Galician regueifa, a lively tradition of improvised oral poetry filled with wit, rhythm and humour.
Local regueifa performers will share their talent for creating verses on the spot, inviting audiences to experience a distinctive part of Galicia’s living cultural heritage. The event poster lists Antonio, Cadete, Calviño, Camuzas, Cotelo, Leonarda, Mandián, Suso and Verdías.
