The A Pilarica festivities in Carballo 2026 take place on Sunday 11 and Monday 12 October at a new venue: the former water reservoir in O Chorís. The programme includes lunchtime music sessions, evening dances, live orchestras, a brass band and religious celebrations in honour of Our Lady of the Pillar.
The lunchtime music session features Ángel Sevilla, Laura Añón and JJ Compota. The evening celebrations include traditional fireworks and a dance with Finisterre orchestra and Assia group.
The day starts with traditional fireworks. At 1:30 pm, a solemn Mass in honour of Our Lady of the Pillar takes place at the festival grounds, followed by Mekánika brass band. The extended lunchtime music session features Compostela orchestra and CDC mobile disco. At night, Compostela orchestra returns for the evening dance.
On Monday, children’s inflatables run from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. A covered marquee and octopus food service are announced, and drinking parties are prohibited. Organised by the A Pilarica Chorís Festival Committee with support from Carballo Council.
