Carballo is getting back on the bike for a good cause with the 5th Corporal Spinning Marathon, a sporting and charity event supporting the local animal rescue organisation O Legado de Max. The event takes place on Saturday 3 October 2026, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, with three hours of indoor cycling where every effort helps animals in need.
Linked to Corporal X-Pression, the initiative brings together sport, community spirit and animal welfare. It is a different way to enjoy indoor cycling in Carballo while supporting the work of a local rescue organisation.
The marathon offers a morning of exercise with a shared purpose: raising support for O Legado de Max. Alongside the sporting event, there will also be a collection of pet food and canned food for dogs and cats from Thursday 1 October.
People can help by taking part in the activity or by donating food. Every contribution supports the volunteers who care for abandoned animals, help them recover and work to find them new homes.
After the spinning marathon, a group lunch will be held at Camping Baldaio, priced at €40 per person. The deadline to register and pay for the lunch is Monday 28 September.
