The VI Adro de Vilaño Octopus Festival returns on Saturday, 24 October 2026, to the sports hall at CEIP Ramón Otero Pedrayo in Vilaño (A Laracha), for a day combining Galician food, music and a lively community atmosphere.
Doors open at 1:00 pm, giving visitors time to arrive early, enjoy an aperitif and get ready for lunch. The meal starts at 2:30 pm and will be served by Juan Guerra.
The menu includes assorted empanadas, cured meats and cheese, steamed mussels and cooked lacón as starters. The main course is generous portions of octopus with cachelos. Dessert includes larpeira and ice cream, followed by coffee and a digestif.
Ticket sales begin on Monday, 28 September, and close on Thursday, 22 October. Members can only buy discounted tickets on Sundays at 1:30 pm at the Centro Sociocultural de Vilaño. Tickets will also be available at Tempo, Agrobótica, Peluquería Carmen y Silvia Pereira, Almacenes J. Cotelo, Bar da Piña and Bar Milagre in Larín.
Groups wishing to sit together should provide the name of their group representative when buying tickets, even if tickets are purchased at different sales points. Everyone, including children who enter free of charge, must have a ticket to enter the venue.
The programme includes a Pequefesta for children, with a free snack, inflatables, games, face painting, temporary tattoos and balloon modelling. In the afternoon, Dúo Maracaibo will provide live dance music, followed by major prize draws hosted by the presenters of the Carreira do Apóstolo.
A welcoming food and family event centred on octopus, shared tables and an afternoon of celebration in Vilaño.
