A walk through one of the Costa da Morte’s most distinctive landscapes, with an added opportunity to support a good cause. On Saturday 5 September 2026, a guided hiking route through the Penedos de Pasarela e Traba will set off from the Escola de Pasarela in Vimianzo at 9:30 am.
Organised by the ANPA San Vicenzo de Vimianzo, the activity combines nature, community and solidarity on an approximately 8-kilometre circular route through an area of outstanding scenic, geological and cultural interest.
The Penedos de Pasarela e Traba are among Galicia’s most striking protected landscapes. Their huge granite formations, shaped over thousands of years, make this a wonderful place to slow down, enjoy the outdoors and discover the character of this corner of the Costa da Morte.
The guided route offers local residents, families and visitors a friendly way to explore a natural heritage site shared by the municipalities of Vimianzo and Laxe.
The walk also has an important community goal: raising funds to purchase an automated external defibrillator (AED/DESA) for CEIP San Vicenzo. During the event, charity wristbands will be available for €3, with all proceeds going towards the purchase of the equipment.
It is a simple way to combine an enjoyable morning outdoors with a practical contribution to the local school community.
