On Friday 21 August 2026, the Ondas Culturais | Son de aquí programme comes to the O Chorís neighbourhood in Carballo with a free guided visit followed by a live concert by Do Rivés. It is a lively opportunity to discover the history of the area and enjoy Galician traditional music with a contemporary spirit.
The afternoon begins at 8:00 pm with a walk through some of the neighbourhood’s most distinctive places. The visit will explore its history, the ancient hillfort, the former water buildings, the football ground and the school area.
The guided visit is free, but advance registration is required. Places are limited to 25 participants.
At 8:30 pm, Do Rivés will take the stage with a powerful approach to Galician traditional music rooted in oral transmission and shaped by a contemporary sensibility. Hand percussion, singing, movement and collective energy are central to their live sound.
On their debut album, Contrabando, the group explores rhythms and sounds connected to the musical tradition of the Costa da Morte, including local dialect features and distinctive singing styles from the region.
