MACCMO in Corme will host the conference “Underwater Archaeology and the Future of Underwater Archaeological Parks”, presented by David Abella. The event will explore the heritage preserved beneath the sea and the potential of these sites for research, protection and public interpretation.
During the session, David Abella will discuss the importance of underwater archaeology and consider the future of archaeological parks devoted to preserving and interpreting historical remains found beneath the water.
The conference will take place on Saturday, 27 June 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at MACCMO in Corme. The event is promoted by the Insua da Viastela Cultural Association with the collaboration of Ponteceso Town Council.
