The Santo Hadrián Pilgrimage 2026 in Malpica de Bergantiños will take place on Sunday, 21 June, as one of the most beloved and well-attended celebrations on the Costa da Morte. Declared a Festival of Tourist Interest in Galicia, this pilgrimage brings together devotion, popular tradition and community gathering in a unique seaside setting.
The programme will begin at 7:30 a.m. with mass in the parish church, followed at 8:00 a.m. by the departure of the procession. At the chapel, masses will be held every hour from 9:00 a.m., with the solemn mass taking place at 1:00 p.m., one of the central moments of the day.
The pilgrimage will also include a popular sardine and pancetta barbecue, with music by Judith Cundins, completing a day of celebration, music and shared tradition. The Santo Hadrián Pilgrimage is organised by the Asociación Cultural e Deportiva San Xulián, with the collaboration of the Concello de Malpica de Bergantiños.
