The Serramo Festivities in honour of the Holy Cross are getting ready to bring back one of those special local celebrations filled with tradition, music and a true festive spirit. On Saturday, 2 May, this parish in the municipality of Vimianzo will once again become a meeting point for neighbours and visitors looking to enjoy an authentic festive day in the heart of Costa da Morte.
The programme will combine religious events with a lively atmosphere throughout the day. According to the poster, there will be a novena at 7:00 pm from 23 April onwards, while on the main festival day there will be masses at 10:00 am, 11:00 am and 12:00 pm, as well as a solemn mass at 6:00 pm. Earlier in the day, the celebration will continue with a vermouth session featuring a bagpipe group, adding a traditional Galician touch to the festivities.
In the evening, the Serramo Festivities in honour of the Holy Cross will continue with a big dance party featuring the bands Los Españoles and Metrópolis. The venue will also have a marquee, making it even easier to enjoy the celebration comfortably. It is a great excuse to visit Serramo, soak up the festive atmosphere and experience one of those local events where tradition, music and community come together naturally
