Book Week in Cee arrives with a programme designed to keep bringing reading, creativity and culture closer to people of all ages. From April 20 to 27, the Francisco Mayán Library and the Baldomero Cores Auditorium will host a series of activities that turn these days into a wonderful opportunity to enjoy books from very different perspectives.
The programme begins on Monday, April 20 at the Francisco Mayán Library with “Books about books”, an initiative allowing visitors to take home books from the collection that are being withdrawn. On Thursday, April 23, there will be two events: at 11:00 a.m., the Baldomero Cores Auditorium will host the presentation of the illustrated book “El encuentro” by David Blanco, in an activity aimed at 4th and 5th grade primary school pupils from the schools of Cee; and throughout the day, the Francisco Mayán Library will hold its blind book loans, an original invitation to choose a wrapped book and be surprised. On Friday, April 24 at 7:45 p.m., the library will host the presentation of “Cuando los sueños hablan” by Asier Fraga, a psychological, technological and futuristic thriller set in Madrid in 2062.
The programme will continue on Saturday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the Baldomero Cores Auditorium with “A libraría máxica” by Inventi Teatro, a family show with tickets priced at 3 and 5 euros, available at the box office one hour before the performance. To round off the week, on Monday, April 27, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the Francisco Mayán Library will host a Brush Pen lettering workshop for young people aged 12 to 16, with prior registration at the library via biblioteca@cee.gal or by phone at 607 029 896. A lovely week to experience books in Cee in a participatory, welcoming and truly special way.
