Vimianzo will host a very special event on Sunday, April 26, offering the chance to discover one of the region’s great natural treasures from a new perspective. This environmental awareness day on the geological richness of the Costa da Morte invites visitors to explore the landscape and geological uniqueness of the area through an outdoor experience that highlights the power of stone, the memory of the land and the distinctive identity of this part of Galicia.
The activity will begin at 10:30 am at the Escola de Pasarela, in Vimianzo, and will be led by Juan Ramón Vidal Romaní, emeritus professor of Geology at the UDC and full member of the Royal Galician Academy of Sciences. The programme includes the start of the Roteiro dos Penedos at 11:15 am, a route designed to showcase the spectacular granite formations and help participants better understand the enormous geological value of the Costa da Morte.
The event is scheduled to end at 1:45 pm with the arrival in Traba. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy nature, learn more about the area and rediscover a landscape that is an essential part of the spirit of the Costa da Morte. A perfect plan for anyone looking to combine environmental education, natural heritage and a different kind of morning in Vimianzo.
