The Auditorium of Zas will host on Friday, April 10 at 1:30 pm a performance of “Coralia e Maruxa”, a cultural event included in the Women and Territory programme organised by the Town Council. This is an event that highlights memory, identity and the role of women throughout history through a play with strong symbolic and social meaning.
Aimed at secondary students from CEIP de Zas, this activity is based on the story of Coralia and Maruxa, two women who, during the Franco dictatorship, became a symbol of freedom, courage and resistance. Their way of breaking imposed social rules and filling the streets of Santiago with colour and life makes this play a very special part of Zas’ cultural programme.
The performance of “Coralia e Maruxa” in Zas is therefore a chance to discover an inspiring and meaningful story that invites the audience to reflect on collective memory and on the courage of those who dared to challenge convention. The Town Council encourages everyone interested to take part in this new event within the Women and Territory programme.
