The training session on the total eclipse in Malpica de Bergantiños will be a very appealing event for anyone interested in astronomy and eager to better understand such a remarkable phenomenon as a total eclipse. The activity will take place on Friday, April 10, at 6:00 p.m. at the Civic Centre of Malpica de Bergantiños, offering a great opportunity to learn and get ready to enjoy this experience in a deeper and more informed way.
The session is titled “THE TOTAL ECLIPSE. A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY: WHAT IT IS AND HOW TO ENJOY IT” and will be led by Óscar Blanco Varela, a well-known figure in the field of astronomy outreach. Director of the Trevinca Astronomical Centre, president of the Coruñesa Astronomical Association IO, astrophotographer, Starlight guide, astronomy communicator and eclipse chaser, he brings more than 25 years of experience, making this a promising, engaging and highly informative session.
Organised by the Astrotourism Association of Costa da Morte with sponsorship from the Town Council of Malpica de Bergantiños, this activity is free of charge, although prior registration is required. The event will also feature participation from councillor Noelia Freijeiro Novo and the association’s president, Yolanda Díaz.
