From August 19 to 21, 2025, Camelle will host Vento do Nordés, a cultural event under the motto “Words that carry the culture of our sea.” Three days dedicated to the maritime memory of the Costa da Morte, with activities that combine history, tradition, and knowledge sharing.
On Tuesday the 19th, the program will open with a performance by Jolpe de Mar, a guided visit to the Shipwrecks Room, and the talk The Memory of Fishing in Camelle. On Wednesday the 20th, there will be a sailor’s knot workshop, another guided visit, and the lecture A Life Dedicated to Boatbuilding by master shipwright Xerardo Triñanes.
On Thursday the 21st, an introductory boatbuilding workshop will be followed by another guided visit and the theatrical route The Legacy of the Shipwreck Era in Camelle, concluding with a performance by the traditional music group Mar Devalado. An event that highlights Camelle’s cultural and maritime heritage in the unique setting of the Museo de Man and its seafront promenade.
