On Saturday, July 5th, 2025, at 9:30 AM, the Roteiro polo Río Castro kicks off— a 10 km circular walk of low difficulty starting and ending at the Caldeiras do Castro (Muxía). Led by historian Xan Fernández, participants will follow riverside paths and Atlantic woodlands, exploring old watermills and granite bridges.
After the hike, everyone is invited to a communal lunch at the riverside picnic area: bring your own food to share and enjoy a convivial atmosphere by the water. It’s the perfect way to experience the natural and cultural heritage of Costa da Morte with good company.
Registration is free but required. Secure your spot by emailing muxiacultural@gmail.com or calling the Muxía Municipal Library at +34 981 74 25 63 before July 3rd. Join us to discover the Río Castro!
