Find out more about Graphic Art Week at the Museum in Ponteceso

Graphic Art Week at the Museum in Ponteceso joins the Holy Week programme with a cultural proposal that invites visitors to explore visual creation from different perspectives. Organised by the Ponteceso Town Council with the collaboration of the Provincial Council of A Coruña, this initiative brings together a talk, a children’s workshop and a film screening linked to photography, cinema and Galician arts.

The programme will begin on April 1 at 6:00 pm with a talk by photographer Xesús Búa, focused on photography in the arts and on his own work, as well as an outstanding photographic collection devoted to people of the sea under the title “Homes e mulleres de sal e ferro. Percebeiros da Costa da Morte”. On April 2 and 3, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, there will also be a children’s workshop for ages 8 to 12, “Os pequenos camarógrafos”, centred on building an old-style camera.

The programme will be completed on April 3 with the screening of “Cine para mortos” (a porta pechada): “Mallante e cicatriz”, by Víctor Vázquez and Simón Bergman. It is a different and appealing way to enjoy Holy Week in Ponteceso through culture, contemporary creation and a strong connection to the sea and the identity of Costa da Morte.
