Find out more about Pepe do Cuco’s Shelter in Carnota

The Caseta de Pepe do Cuco, an old fisherman’s shelter in Carnota, has been transformed into Galicia’s first automated museum. Located along the “Camiños de Andar ao Mar” route, between Lariño Lighthouse and Carnota Beach, it offers self-guided tours via a QR code. Inside, stories of the region’s maritime heritage and its evolving traditions are shared.

Carnota still preserves many similar shelters, with a notable cluster of 30 in Caldebarcos that remain in active use today.
