Find out more about Carnota: Carnota Beach & Lariño Lighthouse

Both the Lariño lighthouse, a little further south along the coast, and Carnota beach itself are great places to see the stars.

The immense 7-kilometre-long sandy area of Carnota stands out as a natural point for stargazing on the Costa da Morte. It is an ideal place to spend a long summer day, enjoying the sea, bird watching and other activities before the arrival of night. Once the light falls, the stars begin to appear and, with some luck, a good night sky can coincide with the phenomenon of the Sea of Ardora. Can you imagine it? It’s possible because it’s already happened!
