The origin of bobbin lace is unknown even in places with such a long tradition around it as the town of Camariñas. The medieval fair “O encaixe no Camiño” arises from trying to solve this mystery and in it you can enjoy theatrical performances about a possible origin of bobbin lace in this town as well as multiple stalls with crafts and traditional food.
“O encaixe no camiño” is held in Camariñas every third weekend of July and the theatrical performances that show the possible origin of bobbin lace in the town are performed throughout the mornings of each day. Organized by the Association of Entrepreneurs and Tourism Promotion of Camariñas, this fair is already a classic among the festive activities on the Costa da Morte.
