Find out more about Quaternary trenches Cape San Adrián (Malpica de Bergantiños)

The hermitage of San Adrián stands on the cape of the same name, with spectacular views over the Sisargas Islands, declared a Special Protection Area for Birds, as well as being part of the Natura 2000 Network. From this exceptional location we can appreciate the plains of Cabo de San Adrián, especially important for the study of the evolution of the Quaternary period. The rasas, visible at low tide, are coastal platforms formed in front of a rocky cliff, caused by the erosion of the sea on it.
