Find out more about Mapica – Lamego shear, Esteiro and Seaia beaches (Malpica de Bergantiños)

The beach of Seiruga or Esteiro, in the surroundings of the Sisargas Islands, stands out for the Xuncal do Martelo wetland, a natural breeding ground for numerous species and a resting place for many birds. The dunes full of vegetation and the furnas on its right bank make this a place of extraordinary beauty. In this context we find the core of the shear zone from Malpica to Lamego (Portugal). Shear is the response of a rock to a deformation process, usually by compressive stress.
