Within the framework of the aids of Deputación da Coruña for 2019, different projects and activities are being organized that aim to achieve greater skills of the tourist sector. Once again, Costa da Morte contemplates the development of a free Training Program for professionals, with the objective to specialize the destination in three main pillars of tourism: English, marketing and gastronomy.
Between September and December, great professionals will teach the following modules in the format of courses and training days for free (previous registration compulsory).
- Octopus to the party will be in charge of the course “Basic and medium English applied to hospitality sector and tourism informants“.
- What? Acquisition of practical skills in communication in English aimed at the service of visitors. There will be two modules, one for tourist informants and city – council staff and one for accommodation and hospitality workers.
- When? Tuesdays and Thursdays between October 15 and November 7.
- Where? Fórum Carballo
- Acerta Formación will teach the course on improving skills in local cuisine.
- What? Professionals from different fields will introduce participants to their specialties: creative bakery, cocktail bar, barista and local seafood dishes.
- When? Between September 30 and November 25.
- Where? Fórum Carballo
- Entorno Anfibio will be in charge of the course “Online marketing for tourist destinations and creation of cultural activities”.
- What? it will cover aspects ranging from the attention of people with special needs in areas of heritage interest to web analytics and social networks.
- When? From 18 to 22 November in classroom teaching and from 23 to 30 on-line.
- Where? Centro Sociocultural de Baio (Zas)
The deadlines and procedure for signing in the free courses are specified in the attached program .
CMAT continues to work on the lines of action of the Tourism Action Plan for Costa da Morte 2019-2021, in which the training needs of the tourist sector have been contemplated in order to achieve sustainable tourism development.
