The deadline for submitting applications to host the 4th Annual Costa da Morte Tourism Meeting is now open

This year, the meeting, organised by CMAT with the co-financing of Turismo de Galicia and the support of the Diputación de A Coruña, will be held on 12 November. The Annual Tourism Meeting is one of the activities framed within the agreement between CMAT and Turismo de Galicia, which will be signed this September.

ZAS, 03/09/2024. CMAT opens the deadline for the submission of applications to host the Annual Tourism Meeting of the Costa da Morte, which celebrates its fourth edition on 12 November between 5:30 pm and 20 pm.

Companies in the tourism sector of the Costa da Morte that are interested in hosting this event can submit their candidature until the 17th of September.

This important event is part of the activities included in the collaboration agreement that CMAT and Turismo de Galicia will sign this September. The meeting also has the support of the Diputación de A Coruña. As a new feature of the 2024 edition of the Annual Tourism Meeting, the organisation will make every effort to carry out an exhibition of handicrafts. In addition, during the event, the finalist photographs of the 1st Costa da Morte Naturalmente Salvaxe Photographic Contest will also be exhibited, which is still open to the public until 30 October at 23:59 pm.

An event that is becoming more and more established

The Annual Tourism Meeting of the Costa da Morte aims to be a meeting point for public and private agents of the territory. Agents who work every day to improve the tourist destination of the Costa da Morte. The journey of this meeting began in 2021 in the Parador Costa da Morte, in Muxía. The following editions were held in Costa Caión (Caión, A Laracha) and in Torre de Laxe (Laxe).

The IV Annual Tourism Meeting of the Costa da Morte aims to be a space to share the successes achieved this year, to exchange new ideas and proposals and to make the geodestination grow with a sustainable economic and social vision.

Interested candidates will have to meet a series of requirements, among which are the following:

  • To be located on the Costa da Morte.
  • Minimum capacity of 150 people (up to 200 people can be considered).
  • Experience in this type of event
  • Availability of dates and times

Submission of applications

For interested establishments, the deadline for submitting applications is 17 September 2024. The presentation of the candidature will be made by sending this downloadable annex which must be sent with the complementary documentation that each establishment considers necessary and that may help CMAT to make the evaluations it deems appropriate to the following e-mail address: admincmat@visitacostadamorte.com.

Once the applications received have been evaluated, CMAT will contact the companies to analyse the different aspects of their proposals and select the most suitable for the event. In this sense and as far as possible, the CMAT will try to organise the meeting in a municipality that has not previously hosted the event.
