The new Board of Directors of the Costa da Morte Tourism Association (CMAT) held its first meeting yesterday in the town of A Laracha, current headquarters of the presidency, chaired by the host mayor, José Manuel López Varela. The main purpose of the meeting was to review the current state of the organisation and go over the activities being carried out throughout 2025.

During the meeting, the new board also set out the strategic lines of work that will guide its actions in the coming months. The objectives established were: strengthening institutional collaboration and links with the socioeconomic fabric, promoting sustainable tourism projects, improving communication, and supporting initiatives that highlight the cultural, heritage, and natural wealth of the area.

CMAT emphasised the importance of ensuring the stability and continuity of the project launched in recent years, consolidating existing alliances and opening new channels of cooperation with institutions, businesses, and associations. Networking and cooperation with the various territorial stakeholders were identified as key factors to successfully face future challenges and position Costa da Morte as a high-quality tourist destination.

This first meeting symbolises the shared willingness to continue joining efforts for the benefit of the territory, reinforcing the commitment to its promotion, preservation, and sustainable development.
