Your Legacy, My Future: Jobs, Vocational Talent and Business Succession in Vimianzo

On 30 October 2026, from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm, Casa da Cultura in Vimianzo will host Your Legacy, My Future, an event bringing together local businesses, vocational education and training (VET) students and people looking for employment and business succession opportunities in Costa da Morte, Galicia.

The event is built around practical conversations: which skills local businesses need, how emerging talent can contribute and how established companies can plan for the next generation. Company presentations and face-to-face networking will offer a chance to make useful connections.

Connecting local businesses with new talent

Business owners can share their recruitment needs and discuss the future of their companies. VET students, jobseekers and other professionals can discover nearby employers, learn about career paths and explore opportunities to contribute to the local economy.

The aim is to narrow the gap between employers and candidates, support succession in small and medium-sized businesses, improve access to work for vocational students and strengthen the long-term prospects of the area.

Event programme

• 10:00 am. Institutional welcome with representatives of Vimianzo Town Council and the Galician regional government.
• 10:15 am. Introduction to Medrando Xuntas, supporting women’s leadership in Galicia’s social economy.
• 10:45 am. Presentation of the Entrepreneurship Support Hubs and business succession support.
• 11:00 am. Roundtable with participating companies on recruitment, career opportunities, sought-after skills and values, followed by questions.
• 11:45 am. Coffee break and informal networking.
• 12:05 pm. ‘Business–Talent Connection Café’, a facilitated opportunity for businesses and attendees to meet.
• 1:30 pm. Conclusions, next steps and closing.
