The Fisterra Town Hall auditorium hosts the presentation of «Terror en la mar» on Friday 28 August, a book by Juan Campos Calvo-Sotelo exploring the figure of Benito Soto and the line between history, legend and maritime memory surrounding one of the best-known names associated with Galician piracy.
The event offers an accessible, well-informed look at the character, how his legend was shaped and what lies behind the stories that have kept his memory alive. It will be of particular interest to readers drawn to naval history, maritime heritage and Atlantic storytelling.
Speakers will include José Manuel Traba Fernández, Roberto Traba Velay, author Juan Campos Calvo-Sotelo and Luis Insua Lago, mayor of Fisterra.
