Presentation of the book “A Costa da Morte. Naturalmente única”

The Costa da Morte is taking a new step in the promotion of its tourism offer with the launch of the book “A Costa da Morte. Naturalmente única”, an exclusive publication featuring the 17 municipalities of the destination. The official presentation will take place on Thursday, 4 December 2025, at 12:00 p.m. in Asteria Beach, Caión (A Laracha). The event is organised by APTCM (Costa da Morte Tourism Professionals Association) and funded by the Galician Tourism Agency; its director, José Manuel Merelles, will attend the ceremony.

The book “A Costa da Morte. Naturalmente única” offers a unique perspective on the main tourism resources of the region, combining the writing of Xan Fernández Carrera with the photography of Antonio Fernández. This special-edition volume features hard cover, high-quality paper, large-format images and short texts, designed to be displayed in hotel receptions, tourism businesses and visitor information offices. Weighing around 1.5 kg, it is a striking coffee-table book that helps visitors understand why the Costa da Morte is, quite literally, “naturally unique”.

At the presentation event, copies will be handed over to all municipalities belonging to CMAT (Costa da Morte Tourism Association), as well as to local tourist offices, municipal libraries and members of APTCM. The association wishes to express its gratitude to Xan Fernández Carrera and Antonio Fernández for their generosity, dedication and love for this land, offering their work altruistically for the benefit of the destination. The presentation of “A Costa da Morte. Naturalmente única” is a clear example that, when the sector works together and looks in the same direction, shared goals become much easier to achieve.
