Galician storyteller and writer Paula Carballeira comes to Bamiro with “Os contos que me contan”, an oral storytelling performance for adults as part of the A costa da vida programme. The event celebrates the pleasure of listening to stories told live, blending memory, humour, emotion and the close connection created between storyteller and audience.
Paula Carballeira is one of the best-known voices in Galician oral storytelling. Her performances are built around language, rhythm and direct contact with the audience, creating an intimate setting where oral tradition meets contemporary sensibilities.
The event takes place on Sunday, 11 October 2026 at 12:00 pm at the Antiga Escola de Bamiro in O Ceán, in the municipality of Vimianzo.
After the performance there will be a small shared snack and community gathering, extending the spirit of an event designed for listening, conversation and connection.
The event is part of A costa da vida, organised by Cultura Activa and promoted in Vimianzo with the institutional support shown in the programme.
