Onda de Nemiña 2025 celebrates summer on Nemiña Beach next Thursday, July 31, with a full day of aquatic, cultural, and musical activities for all ages. Beginning at 12:00 PM, the Sand Sculpture Contest kicks off, while free surf lessons take place at 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM right by the sea—perfect for beginners on the Costa da Morte. At 2:00 PM, enjoy a vermouth break accompanied by live music and food stalls along the beach “Runway,” creating a unique festive atmosphere.
In the afternoon, at 4:30 PM, join a talk about the sea led by marine specialists, followed by the conclusion of the sand sculpture contest at 6:00 PM and the Surf Championship for Non-Surfers at 6:15 PM, where any enthusiast can experience the thrill of the waves. At 7:30 PM, the award ceremony will honor the best sand artist and the surf competition winners, celebrating local talent and community involvement.
As night falls, the “O Saburil” area of Nemiña Beach hosts concerts: Family Folks at 8:00 PM, Los Lunes al Sol at 9:30 PM, and Rubén PB at 11:30 PM, providing the perfect soundtrack of folk and contemporary acoustic sounds. All events are free, with registration at Muxía Library (📞 981 74 25 63 • muxiacultural@gmail.com), and aquatic activities will proceed according to sea conditions. Organized by the Muxía Town Council, Muxía Cultural, and EDP, Onda de Nemiña 2025 stands out as a must-attend event on Galicia’s summer calendar.
