Poet María Lado, from nearby Cee, presents “Odias a poesía” on Saturday, 19 September 2026 at 12:30 pm at the Capela do Pilar in Corcubión. The event is conceived as a literary vermouth session combining poetry and live music, with editor Xabier Romero and pianist Miguel Matamoro.
“Odias a poesía” looks back over more than two decades of María Lado’s literary career in a bilingual Galician-Spanish edition. Published in 2026 by LuscoFusco, an imprint of Editorial Elvira, the anthology brings together poems from previous books and unpublished work, while retaining two hallmarks of Lado’s writing: a strong oral quality and a distinctive sense of humour.
The presentation offers a close-up encounter with the author, accompanied by Miguel Matamoro on piano and editor Xabier Romero. It takes place in the Capela do Pilar auditorium, one of Corcubión’s distinctive cultural venues.
