Muiñada de Vimianzo 2026 has added Axeigo Grupo de Música Tradicional Galega to its line-up. The young ensemble comes from Terra Chá ready to open the celebration with the energy, rhythm and roots of Galician traditional music.
The event will take place on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 October 2026 in Vimianzo as part of a new edition of the Muiñada, a gathering that brings together music, heritage and popular culture around the town’s historic mills and Galician musical identity.
Axeigo represents a new generation of musicians keeping Galician traditional music alive through a fresh, festive approach. With bagpipes, percussion and a strong dance-driven spirit, the group arrives from Terra Chá ready to set the tone for a lively night.
Their presence strengthens the Muiñada’s role as a meeting point between tradition and the new generations who continue to reinterpret, celebrate and perform Galicia’s musical heritage.
The Muiñada programme will run throughout the weekend with a range of music and cultural activities. Advance tickets are already available for the ticketed Saturday programme.
