From September 4 to 12, 2025, Muxía will celebrate the Novena and Feast of Our Lady of the Boat, one of Galicia’s most important religious events. Each day, masses will be held at 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., with the rosary prayed half an hour before.
On Saturday, September 13, the eve of the feast, masses will take place at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. (sung), 6:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. On Sunday, September 14, the main day, masses will be at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. (open-air mass with procession to the port and blessing), as well as at 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. On Monday, September 15, “Luns da Barca,” a procession will depart from the parish church at 12:30 p.m. followed by mass in the Sanctuary, with additional services at 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Special events include the torchlight night procession on Saturday the 6th, the celebration with the sick and elderly on Sunday the 7th, and the funeral for deceased devotees on Tuesday the 9th. The weekend after the feast will feature masses at 12:00, 5:00, and 7:00 p.m.
