The handcrafted tambourine workshop in Seaia, organised by the Carcaxía association, is a great way to connect with traditional music through genuine hands-on learning. It is not just about making an instrument—it is about understanding materials, shape, sound, and the full craft process that gives each tambourine its own character.
The workshop takes place at the Casa da Cultura in Seaia over two sessions. On 31 January (12:00–1:30 pm) there will be a talk: “How do you make the tambourine you need?”. On 7 February (3:00–9:00 pm) participants will move to the practical session focused on building the tambourine.
