Vilaño, in A Laracha, hosts the first edition of the FITVI – International Puppet Festival of Vilaño from 9 to 11 October 2026. The festival brings together puppetry, oral storytelling, theatre, community memory, music and participatory activities across several locations in the parish.
Under the motto “Entre verzas e monicreques”, FITVI invites audiences to experience performing arts in close connection with the local landscape and heritage, with a programme designed for all ages.
First stop: Fonte da Areosa.
Second stop: Muíño das Fervenzas.
FITVI is an initiative by Adro de Vilaño created to bring performing arts into a rural setting and make the parish’s paths, heritage sites and community spaces part of the experience. It is a welcoming, intergenerational cultural event closely connected to the identity of Vilaño.
