Vimianzo is getting ready to experience and better understand one of the most important astronomical events of the coming years with a special day focused on the 2026 solar eclipse. Organised by the local council, this outreach programme is designed to bring the phenomenon closer to all audiences through activities created to learn, observe and enjoy the sky safely.
The programme on 17 April combines science outreach, observation and astronomical experiences in different formats. As well as helping people understand what an eclipse is and how it happens, this initiative also strengthens Vimianzo’s position as a destination linked to astrotourism and night sky observation.
