On Saturday, August 30th, the village of Cances will host the 21st Festa do Pichorro 2025, a gastronomic and cultural celebration that has become a summer highlight in Costa da Morte. The evening will kick off at 8:00 p.m. with traditional music performed by the Gaiteiros de Cances, followed by the opening of the festival tent at 8:30 p.m.
At 9:00 p.m., the long-awaited feast will begin with roasted pichorros, pork belly, potatoes, and chorizos, paired with the unique corn shelling contest using a sickle handle, a traditional challenge full of fun and heritage.
The night will close with a performance by Cantarol@s de Cances and lively dancing led by Mar de Caión, ensuring an unforgettable evening of Galician food, music, and tradition.
