On Sunday, 18 October 2026, Baio in the municipality of Zas, on Galicia’s Costa da Morte, hosts another lively local fair. Alongside shopping and traditional food, visitors can explore a special display of historic photographs in local shop windows for the 6th Fouciño Awards.
To mark the 6th Fouciño Awards, participating shops are displaying old photographs of Baio in their windows. Follow the displays around town, see how Baio has changed over the years and vote for your favourite shop window in the Fouciño Awards. It is a lovely way to combine a stroll with local heritage.
There is plenty more to enjoy: €350 in prizes through scratch cards offered with every purchase, plus free callos, a traditional Galician tripe dish, at participating bars and restaurants. The fair also offers an opportunity to support Baio’s independent businesses.
