On Sunday, 11 October 2026, Praza do Concello in Carballo hosts the 5th Bercamel Honey Fair, celebrating Galician honey, beekeeping and locally produced hive products. Running from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm alongside Carballo’s traditional market, the fair offers a delicious introduction to the region’s beekeeping heritage.
Organised by the Asociación Galega de Apicultura with support from Carballo Town Council, Bercamel features stalls showcasing and selling Galician bee products. Visitors can meet producers, explore different honeys and discover why local beekeeping matters to the region’s food culture.
Beyond the tastings and market stalls, the event highlights the skills of Galician beekeepers and the importance of bees as pollinators. It is a great Sunday-morning experience for food lovers visiting Carballo and the Bergantiños area of Costa da Morte.
