Afiando Fouciños 2026 is a film series focused on Galician audiovisual culture and stories rooted in the territory. The programme brings together four documentary screenings at different venues in the municipality of Zas, in Baio and Zas, from 26 September to 18 October 2026.
Created in connection with the VI Premios Fouciño, the series expands the municipality’s cultural programme with four distinct perspectives on Galicia, its memory, landscape and identity. It is an opportunity to discover Galician documentary cinema and stories closely connected with Costa da Morte and the communities that shape it.
O Río do Porto, o río grande da Terra de Soneira. Presentation of a documentary by the Seminario de Estudos Comarcais da Costa da Morte, focusing on one of the most significant rivers in Terra de Soneira and its relationship with the surrounding landscape and communities.
360 curvas, a documentary by Alejandro Gándara and Ariadna Silva. A session highlighting contemporary Galician audiovisual creation through a distinctive authorial perspective.
Crónicas dun non, a documentary by Fernando Rodríguez Gómez. This screening brings documentary cinema into an educational setting and adds another perspective to the series.
Deuses de pedra, a documentary by Iván Castiñeiras, closes the 2026 Afiando Fouciños programme.
