Rueiros da Vila 2026 returns to Caión, A Laracha, from 20 to 23 August, turning this Atlantic fishing village into an open-air cultural stage. Across four days, the programme brings together live music, contemporary creativity, local heritage, tradition and activities for children in different locations around the historic centre and seafront.
The festival offers a distinctive way to experience Caión: moving through its streets and squares while following a programme that connects the village’s maritime identity with contemporary musical and artistic languages. The sea is more than a backdrop here; it is part of a cultural experience rooted in the history and character of this corner of the Costa da Morte.

One of the defining features of Rueiros da Vila is its roaming format. Events take place across locations including Praza Eduardo Vila Fano, Cárcere Vello, Salseiras, the Patio and Rueiro das Figueiras, encouraging audiences to move through Caión and experience each performance in direct connection with the village’s streets and maritime landscape.
The programme combines concerts, local routes and creative activities, with a dedicated children’s strand called Rueiros Pequeñiños. The result is a festival with a strong sense of place, appealing both to those who already know Caión and to visitors looking for a cultural reason to discover A Laracha’s coastal village.
