Malpica de Bergantiños celebrates a new edition of its Festas do Mar from 20 to 23 August 2026, with four days of live music, traditional festivities and a strong maritime atmosphere across the town and harbour.
The programme brings together vermouth sessions, street parades, dance bands and DJs with some of the celebration’s most distinctive traditions, including the solemn mass and the much-anticipated maritime procession on Sunday.
Over four days, the Festas do Mar bring residents, visitors and families together around a programme that combines entertainment with local tradition. Sunday features some of the most symbolic moments, with the religious events and maritime procession reflecting Malpica’s close relationship with the sea and its fishing community.
The organisers highlight the importance of local support in making the festivities possible. Contributions can be made during the week at the following locations:
