Caión will experience an unforgettable evening by the Atlantic on 12 August 2026 with a solar eclipse viewing event on the coast of A Laracha. It is a unique Costa da Morte plan to enjoy one of the year’s great astronomical phenomena with the sea and sunset as a spectacular backdrop.
The partial eclipse will begin at 19:31:02, reach its maximum at 20:28:27 and end at 21:22:10. The total phase will last around 1 minute and 4 seconds, making this an exceptional chance to experience the sky over Caión in a truly special way.
To make access easier, there will be a park-and-ride area next to the Xermaña sports pavilion and a free shuttle bus to Praza Vila Fano from 17:00 to 22:00. Beach rescue and lifeguard services will remain available until 22:00. Remember to look at the Sun only with certified eclipse glasses and arrive at the viewing area in plenty of time.
