The solar eclipse on 12 August 2026 can be observed from several locations across the municipality of Laxe, which offers favourable conditions for viewing this natural phenomenon.
Laxe Council recommends Faro na Ínsua, Santa Rosa, Soesto Beach and Traba Beach as observation points. Local residents can collect approved eclipse glasses free of charge from the municipal offices during administrative opening hours, while stocks last.
Approved eye protection must be worn at all times. Visitors should follow the instructions of the authorities and take particular care to ensure that children are properly protected.
