Fiestas del Carmen in Camariñas 2026

The Fiestas del Carmen in Camariñas 2026 will take place from 15 to 19 July, filling the town with music, seafaring tradition, processions, the Danza de Arcos, street parades, open-air dances and a festive atmosphere. Under the motto “Sea, tradition and faith that unite us”, Camariñas will once again honour its patron saint of the sea in one of the most anticipated summer celebrations on the Costa da Morte.

The programme combines religious events and deeply rooted local traditions, such as the Danza de Arcos, the maritime procession, morning music parades, floral offerings and music in the streets, together with lively evening celebrations featuring groups and orchestras such as Acordes, Olympus, Tania Veiras y Los Cumbiapop, Panorama City, La Oca Band, La Fórmula and Grupo Bomba.

The festivities are organised by the Asociación Virxe do Carme de Camariñas, with the collaboration of the Concello de Camariñas. Over five days, the town will enjoy an intense programme that brings together devotion, maritime identity and popular celebration, making the Fiestas del Carmen in Camariñas a must-see event in the festive calendar of the Costa da Morte.

• Wednesday, 15 July: at 12:00, departure of the Mini Danza de Arcos. At 13:00, presentation of the Camariñana of the Year award. From 18:30, street parade with Cantos de Taberna.
• Thursday, 16 July: at 09:00, departure of the Danza de Arcos de Camariñas from the Town Hall square. Morning parade with the As Pontes Music Band, floral offering, mass at 13:00 in the port of Camariñas and maritime procession. Vermouth session with Orquestra Acordes. In the afternoon, street parades with Rumbo de Fisterra and Santa Compaña. From 23:00, open-air dance with the Gran Orquestra Acordes and the Gran Orquestra Olympus. At 00:30, impressive fireworks display.
• Friday, 17 July: street parades with a bagpipe group and the Cee Music Band. At 12:00, procession carrying the Virgen del Carmen, accompanied by the Danza de Arcos. At 13:00, mass with the Camariñas parish choir and a large firecracker display. Vermouth dance from 14:00 with Tania Veiras y Los Cumbiapop. In the afternoon, street parade with Charanga Noroeste. From 23:00, open-air dance with Tania Veiras y Los Cumbiapop, Panorama City and Macro Discoteca CDC.
• Saturday, 18 July: sardine feast at Area da Vila from 14:00 with a musical duo and Charanga Mekanika. At night, open-air dance on the seafront promenade of Camariñas with La Oca Band and the Gran Orquestra La Fórmula.
• Sunday, 19 July: large vermouth session from 14:00 with Grupo Bomba.
