The XXVIII Rapa das Bestas de Vimianzo 2026 will take place on 18 and 19 July at Campo da Areosa, with a programme that brings together horse tradition, local atmosphere, gastronomy and music. This event keeps alive one of Vimianzo’s most distinctive celebrations, closely linked to the horses, the mountains and community life.
Throughout the weekend, visitors will be able to enjoy the gathering and descent of the wild horses from Monte Faro, a horse ride through Vimianzo, a foal tasting, an equestrian show, a vermouth session, lunch in the field and the traditional Rapa das Bestas. It is a unique opportunity to experience a powerful local tradition in a family-friendly atmosphere open to all audiences.
There will be free camping with toilets. The organisers remind participants that each rider will be responsible for any damage caused by their horse. On Sunday from 17:30, there will also be free inflatables, face painting and balloon modelling for children by Divir-TT.
