The Carme do Briño Festivities 2026 in Borneiro, in the municipality of Cabana de Bergantiños, will take place on 18 and 19 July with a programme full of tradition, music, street performances, vermouth sessions and lively evening celebrations. The two-day event will bring the community together around the devotion to the Virxe do Carme and the festive spirit of this well-loved parish celebration.
On Saturday, 18 July, mass in honour of Santa Mariña will be held at 12:00 noon, followed at 1:00 p.m. by a solemn mass in honour of the Virxe do Carme. Street performances will feature Gaiteiros do Son do Castro and the Banda Eduardo Pondal de Corme. The vermouth session will be led by the orchestra Alianza, while the evening party will feature Alianza and Punto Clave.
On Sunday, 19 July, a solemn mass in honour of San Antonio will take place at 1:00 p.m., accompanied by street performances from Enxebres de Cabana. The celebrations will continue with a double vermouth session and evening party featuring Los Españoles and Unión y Fuerza. The event is supported by the Concello de Cabana de Bergantiños and the Deputación da Coruña.
