The 6th Faro Roncudo Popular Race will take place on 13 June from 18:45 in Praza da Ribeira, Corme-Porto. Organised by the Concello de Ponteceso, this sporting event is now firmly established in the local running calendar and once again brings together sport, community and landscape in a very special setting on the Costa da Morte.
The race is part of the 12th Deputación da Coruña Running Circuit and includes categories adapted to different age groups. The Under 18 and Under 16 races will start at 18:45 over a 2,000-metre route; at 19:00, the Under 14 and Under 12 categories will run 1,000 metres; at 19:10, the Under 10 category will complete a 500-metre course; and at 19:15, the Under 8 participants will run 200 metres.
The main race will begin at 19:30, with a 6.2-kilometre route known for its scenic beauty and its proximity to Faro Roncudo, one of Ponteceso’s most iconic coastal landmarks. Registration is available through www.carreirasgalegas.com until 10 June at 23:59. A great opportunity to enjoy popular running in a landscape where sport meets the sea.
